are able to take multiple perspectives and to effectively balance seemingly opposing values and principles. They accomplish tasks and fulfill purposes while crafting win-win relationships in both their personal and professional lives. For instance, one pair of opposites that we strive to leverage is power and compassion. Dr Martin Luther King described this polarity as applying across all aspects of our lives:
“What is needed is a realization that power without love is reckless and abusive.
Love without power is sentimental and anemic.
Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice.
Justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.”
Learning is leadership, and leadership is learning.
In my workshops we draw practical tools from several dynamic process models. We explore practices that will help unlock potential while expanding perspective. We will learn how adopting a “beginner’s mind” lays the groundwork for Empowered Dialogue. A learning mindset results in us becoming “Self as Instrument”. Listening actively, while stating our truth clearly, we shape ourselves into tools that are honed to exercise vulnerable power while crafting mutually transforming relationships. Empowered Dialogue is generated by a fund of effective language tools and communication skills that instruct us how to presence ourselves in body, mind and spirit, while achieving real world, bottom line results.
